FRENCH SPECIAL RESIDENCE PERMIT- INTERNS

As non-EU interns, the Welcome Office (WO) will be your interface to obtain the French special residence permit (Titre de séjour Spécial), also called carte PROMAE”, which is issued by the Protocol of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. 

Interns are entitled to this special residence permit, as long as they fulfil the eligibility conditions

With your status, you will obtain a French Special Resident Permit with a code “EM”, which does not grant any Privileges and Immunities (P&I) apart from the facilitated working and immigration process. 

Interns will only obtain the French special residence permit if they have been delivered the specific French ITER visa called “PROMAE visa” in the first place (please refer to the Visas Section.

The application should be done in the first three months of your arrival in France.
