Our language programs
The Welcome Office of Agence ITER France offers two types of linguistic and cultural programs, the French Language Programs (for IO staffs and their spouses/partners) and the Peer-to-Peer Languages and Cultures Program called the P2P (for all staff working in B72).
FRENCH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS OF THE WELCOME OFFICE
The French languages programs of the Welcome Office are open to all ITER Directly Employed Staff and their Spouses/Partners.
Each staff/spouse/partner has the possibility to learn French in a dedicated program for 2 years or until they reach the level B1 (based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Several programs are available (on ITER Site, in Manosque and in Aix-en-Provence).
PEER-TO-PEER LANGUAGES & CULTURES PROGRAM
The P2P Languages & Cultures Program is aimed at sharing the languages and culture’s knowledge of the ITER member countries. Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Provençal classes are organized on ITER site.
These courses in different ITER Languages are conducted by ITER staff volunteers or ITER spouses who wish to give their time and energy to help their colleagues learn about their language and culture. Sessions will be organized according to their availability, one hour per week, over lunch either in the library, in the canteen or in a meeting room.
These classes are open to all staff holding a permanent acces to Building 72.
All levels are welcome to participate and an active participation is needed!
