As IPA, if you wish to import your car from your country, you will be in charge of the Customs formalities (if any, only from a non-EU country) and of its standard registration in France on its arrival.
If you wish to import your car from a non-EU country
Import formalities:
When you move to France from a country outside the European Union, you have some customs formalities to complete. When you come with a vehicle and/or valuables, a specific form has to be completed.
Please check the website of the French Customs Office (in French, but use Google Chrome and click right, translate to English)
Warning: for non-EU cars without EU-conformity, import and French standard registration are very long and costly, with no guarantee to obtain the French homologation (at your own charge and arrangement)
Car registration in France:
As soon as the vehicle arrives in France, you have to start its standard registration process (a French address will be required).
Please note that IPA are not eligible for the diplomatic registration of their car.
